marantz 4001 vs ps3 for playing dvd's

i just bought the marantz 4001 , does any1 else have this and how does it compare to the ps3? My ps3 is not here so i cant compare the 2 at the moment

how does 1 hack the player to play all dvds? its gona be here tomorow
