I had thought that I had settled on most of the components for my HT, but I'm now second guessing myself after continually reading more and more. Which has convinced me that I really haven't a clue what I'm doing. I don't have a ton of money to spend on the audio portion at this time, about 2k more being my upper limit including cost of a new receiver. I'm piecing it together as I try to catch any deals that I can through Polk dealers or on the eBay store.
What I have so far is a CS20 and will have a PSW125 on Tuesday provided UPS does not run over this one like they did the first. I had thought that I would be getting a pair of TSi500's and was bouncing around between TSi100 or 200 or maybe the OWM3 or OWM5 for surrounds in 7.1. But lately I have been reading more about bipole/dipole speakers and have started giving serious thought to a pair of FXi A4's with another pair coming later on.
Asking for a few opinions here. Most likely I'm going to be going with an Onkyo TX-SR607 for now. Though I am waiting to see what the 707 will feature before I make my final decision. I've been in contact with Onkyo and although they can't release any information yet, the person who wrote back said to inquire again in a few weeks and he might have something for me. If I go with the TSi500's, will the 607 be able to sufficiently power the speakers or would I be better off with the TSi400? I'm in an apartment currently so the neighbors are a concern but I plan on being in a house within 6 months where I can use the system to it's fullest.
Also, if I do go with the FXi A4 for surrounds, will they "play nice" with the rest of the TSi line? At this point, except for the CS20 and PSW125, nothing is firmly set in stone. I'm curious as to what others would recommend for this lower budget HT.
Thanks!
Current system:

Onkyo TX-SR600 in 6.1 (failing right surround)
Polk CS175i Center
Polk R10 L/R Front & L/R Rear
Polk CS175i Rear Center.
JVC "unknown" Sub.
DirectTV
PS3 for Blu-ray.

I'd say save your money and get the Onkyo 706 plenty receiver for what you need and the prices should be dropping on it. It also has Pre-outs which allow you to add external amps for more power should you want to in the future and certainly has enough power to drive a TSI system, even the 500s. The only absolute requirement for speaker matching is your three fronts which you'll have 500s/CS20. Surrounds FXis should be fine. Back surround not as important so you could go with a regular bookshelf there even the OWMs as they are easier to mount and direct..but you can put most anything in the back.
Others will voice their opinions. I have an Mseries set with M70s and an Onkyo 605 can power those nicely enough. But when I run them with an Adcom power amp they sound even better...they can take a lot more power but sound quite good with mid-fi receivers.

I'm just putting this in this thread because it is the most recent TSi thread.

Hmm....Not sure what Polk Direct is up to....pretty much every weekend you can buy Black TSi300 speakers for $129 each with free shipping at Newgg.com. I just got a pair 2 weeks ago, and very happy with both Polk and Newegg.com.
I guess they are looking for an Ebayer who hasn't researched anything? -
That's got to be a mistake!
