I already chewed Jerry out for the price. I think there is about $300 in caps and resistors in there...
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

Yeah-that's one helluva price esp. considering the upgraded XO parts.

I listened to these for about four hours,, they sounded grear,ss or tube,, the bass was tight and controlled,, not loose or boomy,,the mids and highs just blended so well without any "harshness" or being bright. I think that considering the facr the the x-overs are completely modded/upgraded,, this price is a STEAL for the speakers. Somebody better jump on the quick,as they are not your "garden variety" 15". :)

I guess the shipping was too much for them?

I think that shipping these would have been somewhat risky, and cost prohibitive,, thus negating the "good deal",, as they already had suffered one corner "ding". We listened to these with my Quicksilver M-80's,,and they were fantastic,, which surprised me,,as I could never get my 15's dialed in with solid state,, much less tubes,, yep,, the buyer got a good deal,,and given the right gear,,will have a stellar 2ch system,if that's the path he chooses. I'm sure that the sonicap crossover did not hurt either.;)
