How do you know your SDA's are working?

A: Your cats chase after invisible instruments off the sides of the speakers, and run into the wall before they realize they're not there.
A: You open your eyes in a brief panic because you think there's someone singing next to you.
A: You open your eyes, just to make sure nobody has secretly installed a center channel in your 2ch system... and also to make sure Tori Amos isn't standing in front of you (slight disappointment on the latter).
All happened to me tonight

Yep. Nothing like it in the world. I Nickle Creek sitting on my couch, chair and ottoman just this evening. Nice folks, too.

that happens to me a lot with mine. It's even better in a surround setup while watching a Pamela Anderson/Tommy Lee porno flick. The soundstage is so real you can almost smell her perfume. The Gear... Take a drive up to Berwick in June for my shindig... bring along some of your carver gearLudicrous gibs! -
I have had 1.2tl's for a couple years using a Lexicon MC-4 preamp and I still stand up and check the side surrounds to ensure I am listening in stereo and not Logic 7. Every few months I ask myself why I have a 7.1 system. I consider getting rid of it all, but keep it just for the occasional movie.

I know what you mean. The SDA's are so amazing in two channel that surround speakers don't even seem useful. Twister on Blu-ray in Dolby TrueHD 5.1 is amazing though. The surrounds are completely integrated with the fronts and it seems like you can pinpoint the thunder from miles away in your room. There are those occasional movies that really put surround use to their maximum potential. I don't feel that bad about it though. I didn't pay much for my surrounds anyways.:pA: Your cats chase after invisible instruments off the sides of the speakers, and run into the wall before they realize they're not there.
