Guinness, it's the Coors of dark beer. That stuff is so watery (for a stout) it's nearly undrinkable. Try some Steelhead Extra Stout, for starters.

Anyone else had Guinness in Ireland? I always hated Guinness, but everyone said to give a try- "the closer you get to the factory, the better it is"... Which is completely true- terrific in Dublin, so-so in Galway. Which is about 4 hours drive from Dublin; so that explains why it tastes like it does in the US.

Never had Guiness in Ireland, but I have had Guiness from Ireland. Even from the can, the stuff from Ireland trounced the Guiness I've had over here.

The only style of beer I can think of that I don't care for is rauchbier. Something about a cold beer that tastes of smoke, completely turns me off.

Heineken and Becks taste like lemur piss. I can't go for anything in a green bottle for whatever reason.

I know exactly the one you're talking about. It pretty much tastes like blueberry cough syrup. Atrocious.

Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic. Comes in the winter sampler pack. One of the few beers I've actually poured down the drain.

    Yeah...Lambics are....um...an acquired taste...some folks love them....kinda like a dessert beer.

Red Ales can sometimes be hard for me to drink.

I remember picking up an unknown sixpack of Red Ale at Bevmo in one of my experimental moods- can't remember the brewery, but it tasted like cherry cough syrup.

I had to pour the rest down the sink. :(

OK, sure some beers are light and a little "watery". I don't always want a "stick to your ribs" thick & heavy beer, sometimes I even drink real water (rarely). Sometimes, the lighter US beers are very refreshing, sorta like a beer flavored water!!

I was very excited to be able to post my hatred for this beer and I was beaten to the punch. I split one of these with a couple buddies and we couldn't even tolerate drinking the small amount that we ended up with. Awful!

Bud Light & Michelob Ultra. Almost anything else I can drink, but necessarily do not like. Microbreweries have some good darker beers but they can't seem to produce a good lager (too flat).

Heineken is OK but not by any means my first choice. Unfortunately most places don't have anything better to offer in their lager selection.
