Thanks to a fantastic CL seller who kept his word and price I am now the owner of the one pair of speakers I have been wanting this model for quite some time and this is the first pair I have seen locally for sale in years...the guy has 39 pages of emails with people wanting to drive from as far as NY for them...I know he was offered twice his asking price.....a man of his word he was....both in like new shape...all drivers perfect, shiney black and sticky...wood perfect as is the cloth..these were his babies and treated as such....replace the M-1's right now, but they will always have a home here...........looks like he lost the SDA IC and is using speaker wire attached thru 2 holes drilled above the binding posts..they sound as sweet as I have read about, puts the smile on your face sweet, and I still need to work a bit on placement.....

SDA's are hopelessly outdated, and over rated. From what you posted you should be able to recover your money.

Congrats, they are some fine speakers. Don't pay Ben any attention. He's been eating too much chicken feed and he cuts the grass with the lawn mower upside down.

Congrats!!! Great find!!! My quest to find a pair in the midwest still continues... heck I'm even tempted to trade my 1.2 TL's for a pair of these. :D I like the fact that the tweeter positions on the 2.3 TL's are lower than the 1.2 TL's. Seems like I'm sitting below the sweet spot with mine.

I started off wanting a pair of what you have but wound up with a pair of 2.3tl's with upgraded tweets, and I have heard several times from people who have heard both that they liked the 2.3tl's better. I sure would like to hear some 1.2tl's someday.
