How Do I Re-Wire 1A's to cancel out dimensional tweeter?

Has anyone ever done this? I have unplugged the dimensional tweeter a week ago and really like the sound a whole lot better, but I could use another tweeter in the mix. I have been studying the schematics trying to learn more, but I am definitely a novice when it comes to circuits. Any input is greatly appreciated!

What do you mean that you could use another tweeter in the mix, there isn't enough highs?"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

I'll be very interested to see what is suggested because I need to do the same/similar procedure. I'm not sure I need or want 2 tweeters per cabinet, a lot of speakers do just fine with a single. At any rate, 1 or 2, I'm going to fit a completely new baffle so that the tweeter/s mount dead center, and also maybe lower the positions of the 6.5s a little like the newer SDA1s are. Good luck with your project !!:) You going to Mortite & Dynamat also ??

I guess I would just like it to be like the 1C. Not too concerned about them not being vertical like the 1c's though. -
Leave it as a single tweeter. You may want to replace one of the resistors with a lower value piece. A single tweeter will out perform multiple tweeters.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Of people who own or have owned 1A's what is your preference with the tweeters and why?

I had the original 2's with the dimensional tweeter. I disconnected it, and changed the value of the main tweeter to a slightly lower value to bring the highs back up. Much better. The dim tweeter makes it way to "spacey" sounding.

I have a pair of original SDA-2's , I have disconnected the interconnect cable and wired the other speakers in sounds great. You can do it without opening the cabinet.

why ?

Well the real reason why was I purchased a Carver M1.0t Amp and didn't realize that they had made 2 different versions. An inverting and non-inverting. I happened to buy the inverting model and couldn't not take advantage of the dimensional array. I didn't like the sound without the other drivers working. I am in the process of replacing the amp with a non-inverting one so I can use the dimesional aray again.

OK, gotcha ! Carry on. BTW, wasn't it you that I sent to Rich's Carver site, and didn't you work a trade for a common grd. M-1.0T? Yes/No ? Did that fall through? You could try a TFM-35,they work really well with SDAs. Good luck getting the SDA effect going, it is sweet!:)

The trade is still on, I finally can get it done this week. I had a setback with Taxes. I had to pay Uncle Sam a lot of money.

Sorry, I forgot to thank you for getting me acquainted with the Carver forum.
Thank you!!
One of the other problems is trying to shut off this system for a couple days to do the trade. I couldn't believe what I was missing with these speakers until I had a good amp.
