    They've added some nice features like the auto stand-by function when no signal is detected for 15 seconds, the on/off switch on the source knob--which appears to act more like a mute switch; more on that later. The LED's are a little less bright--but still could be dimmer. The unit looks much nicer in-person than it photographs. The big news is the upgraded opamps in the USB and PRE models.

    That is the truth. The Dac1 LEDs are like laser beams into the eyes, especially, if you turn the lights down/off. I put a piece of black tape over the LEDs, and used a pin to punch holes into it, which helped.

    I did that same thing on my Direct tv satellite boxes--those damn led's lit up the entire bedroom.
