Why don't you just use them as surrounds?

The only stacked loudspeakers I've ever that sounded right were Advents.

    I wouldn't recommend SRS 2s being stacked.

The way you are describing the stacking would throw off the the dimensional array and sound like ****.

But seeing that they are you speakers, go ahead and report back on how it was not the best way to utilize two sets of superb speakers.

Maybe future enthsiast will learn from your mistake.:)

When I stacked My Smaller Advents, the Tweeters were put together. Like making a mttm, though the tweeters aren't on center. I did it with two set of Legacies and the tweeters were centered.

    No..........HELL no.
"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. If you MUST stack....I'd strongly suggest fastening the uppers to prevent them from toppling over and killing someone in the event of an earthquake/tremor. My Mom's upright piano almost got my Pop during the Northridge quake in S.Francisco ! (up 16 floors)

i would try stacking them sideways, then lay on the floor with your back to the speakers and let the bass give you a good kick.

Why not do it and then you'll know firsthand. It's lots of fun experimenting and trying out different set ups. Sometimes you'll stumble upon something totally illogical which isn't supposed to work but does in fact work quite well. Maybe; but highly doubtful in this case. It's certainly worth a shot though. If it does sound good I wouldn't post a good review on it here in this forum unless you're wearing a flame proof suit of armor. Good luck

It might be fun to try stacking, but I theorize you will get some strange phasing because of the way the SDA signal is designed to arrive at your ears at just the right moment from a single pair of cabinets.
