After totally refurbishing my sda 2.3tl's my regular 2.3 looked a little dull now so I decided to do them as well I lightly sanded the tops and bottoms and applied some Black Bison furniture wax and what a difference. Then took off the kitty snaged grillcloth and put some new on, sides are ok and I dont have any plans to re-do those in the near future. :p

wow... bison wax? they look great, but I would consider doing the sides as well. In the pictures the sides look a touch faded... wanna sell em still?

yeah compared to the redone grills they do, but such a pain I will hold off for now. I dont know, I really dont want to sell them but with this economy I might have to.

oh yeah Bison wax, so much easier to re-finnish and maintain, if you get a scratch you just go over it with some more and its done.

Yeah sure but for now I am keeping these and trying ( not real hard ) to sell the LS90's. I decided to keep them hence the restoration, they did not need much though.

Very nice work. You have motivated me to finally detail and refurb my 3.1TLs.
What grit sanding did you use and did you remove all the old finish?

I used 180 on the top with a orbital sander but I had real deep watter stains to get out. you might try 220 or 300 and be careful of the edeges the venneers are pretty thin. I used a furniture wax called black bison instead of stain and clear.
