This may sound like a stupid question. but since i don't know. on the back of this amp there are 2 RCA jacks for each speaker. WHY? the XPA-3 is the only amp i have ever owned so i really don't know.

So is the tubelike sound for 4ohms and 2ohms only? and i am guessing that this is the voltage source?

Incorrect sir.. there are two per channel, one for a tubelike sound and the other is for a solid-state sound.... read the review and it will explain it all:D

Um...you do realize that he was referring to a Sunfire amp and not the Emo correct?

The Sunfire most definitely does have two RCA inputs per channel. I've seen this personally in numerous pictures.

Put down the crack pipe my friend.

I didn't know there are speakers that can be attached to an amp via RCA cables. All my speakers have always required speaker wire.

The RCA jacks are to connect the pre-amp to the power amp.;)

The speakers hook up with regular binding posts.

I know. Actually, he is referring to the amp channel inputs. There are no speaker inputs on an amp, only speakers have speaker inputs.

Ok...he was referring to the individual channel inputs for each speaker then. Happy?...lol

I'm well aware that only speakers have "speaker inputs". I think what he meant was pretty clear there...;)

Here's a pic I took of mine prior to install, instructions say you can connect RCA to either input. When connecting speakers the front left/right have optional voltage or current terminals

Well, he did say "This may sound like a stupid question.", but I agree with you. I have been dealing with extremely poorly written software all day, and it was just the engineer in me bringing my dikheadianess to the surface.

SherardP is correct; the dual RCA INPUTS on the Sunfire are NOT for current/voltage sound, nooshinjohn; there are OUTPUTS for the MAIN speakers that have current/voltage taps (tube/ss sound). The dual RCAs inputs are for daisy-chaining from one channel to the next, OR to a different amp if you want. You go IN to one RCA & can go OUT of the other, either into another CHANNEL on the Sunfire, or to another amplifier.

I go into one RCA from the pre/pro, then out to the next channel RCA in order to biamp my speakers.

Does that make sense to everyone?

Yes. That is how I connect my PSW1000 sub. The AVR pre-amps go to the Sunfire TGA5400, and then I connect the LF/RF out from the Sunfire to the PSW1000. Works muy bien.

Damn. I wish Sunfire would make some 2 channel gear. I want to try the current/voltage thingamagigee on my living room system. I guess I will have to buy another TGA5400, and have 3 spare amp channels.

That's what I figured it was when I first saw it...I've never really looked at the Sunfires in to much depth though, so I wasn't sure. Thanks for clarifying it.:)

Ohhhh ok then, i see what you meant now.
I was unaware that they didn't make 2 channels amps anymore.
