Anybody Familiar with this amp? Apparently I can bi-amp my fronts with this receiver and my lsi9's. Any ideas?

since those speakers are 4ohm, you are probably better off not trying to bi-amp off the Yamaha unless you contact Yamaha and find out if the amp is 4 ohm stable when bi-amping via A/B speakers or mapping the surround back channel to bi-amp the fronts.

I know the manual for my RX-V2500 talks about bi-amping the fronts by using both the A and B speakers posts. I am not really sure that it doubles the output or if it just splits the same amp to both outs which is not really what you are looking for.

Without looking, I would have to say yes. I can't imagine the 1800 not having outputs for an external amp. I think you can get the 1800's manual from the yamaha website.

If you look on the back, you should see 5 or 7 RCA outs (analog outs) plus the subwoofer out.
