just saw this.. these belong to anyone in here?
Well it's finally time for me to move on from my babies. These speakers started life as a pair of Polk Audio SDA CRS+, and then I upgraded them to the mythical SRS 4.1TL using Polk approved schematics. The speakers are a two-way design with a single 1" tweeter, two 6.5" midwoofers, and a single 10" passive radiator. The frequency response is 24Hz - 26000Hz, with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, and 92db efficiency. Power handling is great, and I have powered these with everything from a 16wpc tube amp to a 500wpc solid-state amp. Along with the crossover and tweeter upgrades, I further upgraded the tweeters to Polk aftermarket silk-dome tweeters, and then revamped the crossover using all Sonicap capacitors and Mills resistors. Finally, the driver seals were replaced for the perfect, airtight enclosure. The speakers themselves rate at about a 8.5/10 with very few marks on the cabinets and grills, and perfect drivers that still have tacky cones. There is a scratch on top of one of one of the speakers, but it was fixed with furniture wax/polish. This is a matched Left/Right pair.
The sound of these speakers is large, warm, and filling. The Stereo Dimensional Array technology makes for 3D sound staging, unbelievable imaging, and allows the speakers to disappear in the room. These will bring out nuances that you have never heard in your music! These speakers can be placed fairly easily in a room, and can provide a better listening experience than their big brothers because of the lessened room restrictions.
I will also include a custom made, 12g SDA interconnect cable with the speakers, the approved Polk Audio SRS 4.1TL schematics, and the impossible to find Polk SDA Compendium. Please feel free to contact me for a listening demo and I'd be happy to show you how they can spread their wings. I would love to trade them for a pair of bookshelf/monitor speakers. What do you have?

Here is my dilemma:
My current listening area in my apartment doesn't support the space needed for the SDAs. However, we are planning to move in the next year to a larger place. Once I have a listening room or office that can fit larger speakers, I am going to want to move up to full range floorstands. So, I find myself caught between speakers I really like but can't use right now, and speakers that I probably wouldn't use even when I have the space. I hate to sell them, but just don't know when I would use them...
