Dear Keiko,

There are quite a few respected members of this forum who swear specifically by MIT Speaker Cables, and by upgraded interconnects of all brands. I have a friend who uses these specific cables with a modest system and that is how I became interested. Reading the rather lengthy MIT white papers at mitcables.com and listening to many Polk and AK opinions is what caused me to buy. The cables listed have not been even burned in which MIT says is a "2/2 proposition: 75% performance in 2 days / 100% in 2 weeks". I have an idea and have sent you a PM.

I was asked if the Interconnects are "directional", meaning should they be installed with one particular end closest to the source (CD Player out, DVD Player out, Tape Deck out) an one particular end closest to the preamp / receiver. Noth I can see on the product or packaging indicates so I emailed them at mitcables.com.

The Speaker Interface Cable definately have an "Amp" end and a "Speaker" end.

On the AVt-2's, the plastic box containing the "network components" is about 6" from 1 end. Is this the end on your Shotguns that goes closest to the source or the preamp / receiver?

Not that it matters much now, but regarding whether the cables are worth it for mid-fi equipment, it's a definite yes. As embarassing as it is to say, my speaker cables cost as much as my integrated I use with them...and it's definitely worth it. Even when putting MIT cables on an Onkyo receiver, it was a pleasant improvement over Signals. Every pair of MIT's I've had have been great for me since I love me some large soundstage. Good luck with the cables.

I'm now at $98.50 per pair DELIVERED anywhere in the US - (PayPal). 4 Pairs available.

I've seen a guy selling well on eBay with these at $125+11, but decided even though the are not, most in the group will treat these as "starter cables" so they should be under $100 delivered.

Now it's a no brainer for these exceptionally well made and tuned cables.

Come on guys, those 10' EXp-1's are getting lonely now for just a few bucks more and can now be all banana, or banana one end and spades on the other.

Some 8' AVt-2's and a few of the 1 Meter IC's are available also.

I've decided to use keep and use some of the AVt-2 IC's that a local friend was to have taken. That will leave me with 2-1/2 pairs (one single was for bridging amps) of 36" Ben's Silver IC's with Neutrik RCA's all ends. They are not even broken in yet with about 70 hours on 1 pair, and zero hours on 1-1/2 pair.

I'm getting photos and will figure out pricing later today or tomorrow.

These are truly amazing cables for the price and I hate to part with them, but I need to raise the cash for my MIT upgrade.

For info purposes, I've been monitoring the $136 eBay guy and he had 10 available last week. He has 7 today so I know this is a hot Polkie price. I can also get thes out with bananas on one end and spades on the other if this helps.

I have a 10' pair of Monster Cable "Duraflex" speaker cables for sale. I just put GLS Locking Banana on all 8 ends which cost $32. The cable has to be worth at least that or more.

An amazingly nice feature of this cable is that it is huge, but as soft, supple and flexible as a spaghetti noodle. You can coil this stuff up in a 3" coil and it straightens back out in 1 second!

First $65 USD PayPal gets it delivered anywhere in the US.

My brother was to have taken some of my AVt-2's and ended up having to back out. I couldn't resist and decided to plug in 2 sets of AVt-2 IC's from CD to Preamp to Amp, and a set of the AVt-2 8' Speaker Interface Cables. I'm going to burn these in a and give them a critical listen before reselling.

That leaves me with another untouched 8' MIT AVt-2 Cable and 4 more untouched 1 Meter MIT AVt-2 IC's up for grabs as priced in Post #1. I will consider a reasonable offer.

I am dropping the price of the 2 pairs of MIT AVt-2 8' listed and pictured in post #1 to $233 per pair.

I have 5 full days of burn in on my personal set of this cable (plus matching AVt-2 1 Meter IC's). The sound improved immensely at 48, hours and continues to grow smoother. The improvement has been noticeable over the full range of sound versus the old MCable I was using. and the soundstage has widened considerably!

This is a great trade-up cable and I will set a package price if you also buy at least 2 of the AVt-2 Interconnects at the same time.
