Just found these on craiglist...talked to the owner and he's trying to find the interconnect cable for them. Is this a good price? He had previous ads listing for 500, now asking 350. Only 15 minutes from my house. Thanks http://stlouis.craigslist.org/ele/893280215.html

Those are 1Cs. If they are in good shape, $350 is a good price especially if he has the cable. Go take a look and listen...great speakers :D

Thanks Ron. I'm eagerly waiting for him to call me back. I'll take the RDO 194's that are in my SDA2's and put them in these....

Great price w/cable and in very good condition. I have a friend who lives in St. Louis and she's coming to town this weekend. It's tempting to have her pick them up in her SUV and bring them to me. :D;):).

Go and get them Michael...............so I don't have to! :)

Yikes, they are in terrible condition. :( I just can't understand how people neglect things such as this. Sides are partially detached, dirty as hell, tops are in bad shape. No IC cable. I didn't get a chance to listen to them because only the wife was there and they were not hooked up. She wants them out of there but at that price... Pics below don't lie. Oh well.

How fricken Tall are you? Did you take these pictures standing on a kitchen chair? Are your 7 feet tall? ...Are you a friendly Giant?

Did you beat these people for POLK ABUSE? They should be flogged! How dare they!?! Let's start the "No Speaker Left Behind" movement! All these Speakers need is good home and to be played lovingly with some great music!

I'm a little unclear. Did you buy these? Or are they "Their" Picture's? If so, can we now assume that Giants don't like Polks?

You've probably passed, but from a good deal it's gone to a bad deal. Anything more than $150 is too much.

LOL 6 feet tall and friendly. When I saw them I was shocked to say the least. I wanted to buy them but 350 bucks ? no way, no how. I took the pics. Note the side of one of the speaks is ripped away. "but they cost 2000 new" said the owner (guy) on the phone after I left his house. I offered him 200 but he's got 3 other people interested... boy are they in for a surprise. The ad from last week stated "look great" but today's ad with the 150 price drop has that sentence deleted. At least he got that part right.

Good advice,, I unexpectedly ended up with a pair similar to these from a e-bay auction,,in the long run it was not worth it,, just make sure that the crossovers are still in one piece,,, mine were not ;)

That sucks George. Buying from Ebay is definitely a crapshoot. If he drops the price to what I'm willing to pay I'll make it a point to check out the crossovers. The speakers work according to his wife (husband was at work at the time I went to check them out). Correction: The ad with the lower price now states that they look great.:eek::( WTF is he thinking.

Sal and/or Jesse,,, can those tops be refinished/redone, or just how would you go about replacing them? I understand very little about woods/veneer. Thanks in advance--george
