Polk audio RTI a3's

For sale is a pair of RTi a3's . They are about 3 month old and are in perfect condition 10/10. I am only selling because I got a very great deal on a pair that I couldn't pass up. They come with 29" stands with spikes on the bottom.

Asking $240 plus shipping. If you don't want the stands $200 + shipping

    I am considering a speaker upgrade to the RTi line...but was not planning on upgrading the surrounds for quite some time. The A3s can be had on ebay brand new and shipped for $220, so I can't justify paying $185 for speakers I hadn't planned on buying for at least a year and a half. BUT, if you do not get these sold and just want to get rid of them, let me know and perhaps I won't be able to say no.

    Exactly which part of my post is offensive and in violation? If you think that it included "negotiation", well, in my half hour of browsing I've seen many far greater offenses.

    Well then go and buy the ones off ebay and then guess what shape are they really in, are these really new, how long are they going to last me, are they really Polk speaker. These speakers go for $199 each at americantv near me and would rather get used like new perfect condition speakers from a trusted seller who will take care of me if something happens with the speaker. I can tell you first hand the speakers I just got a great deal on was surposed to be new from the same guy your refering to and they were not 100% new.

    I will pm you my phone number and discuss why I thought they were not brand new.

    Not necessary. If you want to shoot me a pm on why you thought they were altered, that would be great. Obviously anytime you purchase online you accept some degree of risk (unless you buy from Polk Direct, which is where I've been looking)...and this forum would fall under online purchases. So the risks are similar to Ebay (although Ebay has dispute resolution).

    I believe you misread my post then because I said flat out I was interested in my initial post but had not planned on buying just yet...unless a great deal came along. Furthermore, I just registered so I assumed it would be a bigger deal if I posted eight empty posts to get to ten. Lastly if someone who has an item for sale gets offended by another poster pointing out the same item can be bought new for roughly the same price...well, I don't know what to tell you.

    The rti a3 are worth every bit of $200 used. These are $400 speakers and haven' t been out long. Just because someone posts the same kind of speakers for $199 doesn't mean everyone selling their speakers have to lower their price. Go back to the Bose forum

    Actually mine were cheaper at $185obo. I think he was looking for a crack head deal. These are worth waaay more than $185 IMO.

    I actually did you a favor by bringing this up to the first page again. And I was very straight forward about my interest level. I would think that someone selling a product would be happy to know that there is someone willing to buy if their item cant be sold for the current price. But hey, good luck with the $185. I hope you get it. If I was looking to buy right now, these would be the most attractive deal.

    Pointing out the rules is one thing. Doing so by being condescending with "I wonder if this guy can read" is another thing.

    (regardless, as I stated above multiple times...I am both interested in the speakers and unable to PM...so I guess if I get reported and banned there are a few others who will be joining me)

    Jeez, guys, lighten up. I don't see where Chitown did anything that wrong. He didn't say anything that, to me, looks like he is angling for a lower price, just that he hadn't been planning to purchase yet. Now, granted, I don't see where you can get them for $220 on fleabay, I see $278 but not $220, but other than that I don't see what he did that is so bad.

    Lots of folks muck up FS threads with posts that don't need to be there.

    Would you be responding differently if he had 200 posts instead of 2? Give the guy a break.
