What's a fair price on CRS with stands/cable

I have a chance to pick up a pair of CRS's with stands and b/b IC,,this is the two tweeter model,appear to be in good condition,original owner I believe. I'm going to look at them this weekend.Owner is asking 250.00,,so having never owned a pair,,questions are,,fair/good price? and/or,, wait for a pair of the CRS+. Thanks in advance.

I would wait for a pair of CRS+. I have never heard the two tweeter model, but they can't sound as good

That's a little high. Depends on condition.

They sound similar, every once in a while you'll get a phantom.

I got my CRS+ for about that much minus the stands, and I would love a pair of those babies. I really like my now RDO SRS 4.1TL, so if it were me, I'd wait for the single tweeter.

George, there is really little SQ difference, trust me and Ant we know, if you just cant bear not to have the + then by all means get those but I would not personally get hung up on it, they are really great speakers but fact is most of us have played with them and then moved on.

My daughter has mine now.

Thanks everyone,, Ted,, thats exactly what I'm looking for,,something to play with for 6 months or so,,and then move them on to my daughters,,,I'm planning on seeing them on Sat,,hopefully I'll come back with them. Thanks for the replies--george

Thanks guys,, I spoke with the seller,,turns out that he is the original owner,,they look to be in excellent condition,with stands,,gonna' pick them up Saturday,, this should keep me busy for a few months.

I bought CRS for $580 at the army PX when Bose 901 cost $600, there was no one tweeter model. Cost reduction. it is not better than 2 tweeters, if you don't know what you are talking about, quit talking.

I'd waffle on the condition but that's a great price with stands and cable. I presume he/you mean original stands and the cable doesn't really matter. I'd ask him what his wife looks like as well but that's at your discretion.
