That's one of the things I miss about up north. Down south they think Papa John's is good pie:confused: Also in CT you can't beat their grinders;) Some folks call them subs, hooggies...

If I have to drive more than 10 minutes for a slice, I'm driving to Brooklyn. Filthy is not even a consideration.

There's a place in downtown L.A. that imports water from N.Y., along with most other ingredients. They're about the closest to real Brooklyn pizza of any place out this way. The only thing they're missing is the attitude. Guess it doesn't go over as well as the pizza.

George - I hope you partially choke on a rogue pepperoni and the only thing you have to wash it down is 100proof Goslings Rum.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

George, the next time I drop in for a visit we'll have to get some Russo's. I don't know what I'm missing! Couple a pie with some lager, and we're talking a good time.

There's a chain with 4 outlets in greater Vancouver called Me 'N Ed's that my son John and I have actually driven over 300 miles and stayed over night just to eat at. Best pie I have ever eaten. Totally wicked awesome.

A slice from Russo's is something to gloat about.......and it brings back good memories with extended family so it's good with me.

Troy, MillerLiteScott, Hoosier21, BlueMDPicker, Hearingimpared, F1nut, Doro, Bob McG (that lunatic), and probably a few others are Russo's familiar.

Life was a lot less confusing back when I could get a slice for 15 cents and a small Coke with it for a dime.

Nope, Russo's is in Mt. Holly and George is right, good stuff there.

In fact, I can think of several pizza joints in Jersey that will beat out anything from Philly even on a bad day.

Russo's is one of my favorites too. Just don't get there very often 'cause it's so far away for me.

Oh and Ben, speeled hoagie wrong.

And a hoagie is not a "sub" or a "grinder" Those sammiches are inferior to a hoagie.

What's a hooggie? Philly we have hoagies! :D

As a person who travels the country for a living, the bread is the hardest thing for me to stomach. The pizza crust as well.....:(

Where in NJ is Russo's? I travel through Jersey a lot as well.

I've never had the pleasure of sampling all the famous "best pizzas" out in NY and NJ, and certainly don't want to start a turf war with those folks, but the best pizza I'VE had has been Regina's in the North End.

Maybe not the best pizza in the WORLD, I could never know that, but if anyone's in Boston and looking to grab some good pizza, head on over to Regina's. There will probably be a wait; it's worth it.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore
