Small, thin center channel to match Polk Audio Monitor 70's and 30's?

I'd like to purchase a pair of Polk Monitor 70s and a pair of Monitor 30s for a home theater. The problem is the location of my tv necessitates as short of a center channel speaker as possible and one that's 6 inches or less in depth. I wanted to buy the Polk CS2, but it's far too large. Would the Polk VM20 work well with the other speakers?

Any other suggestions for a good, but not too expensive thin center channel? I certainly can't afford the rest of the VM series.

How important is it for the speakers in a home theater to be "voice matched" anyway?

Thanks

    Welcome to Club Polk.
Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but voice matching is important. The tweeter style is the most important IMHO.

    Thanks Ben,

Do you happen to know if there's anyway to wall mount the Polk CS2 if voice matching is pretty important? The tv in the home theater is going to be above a fireplace and the space is really limited.

Here is a link to older products with some of the manuals.

The CS2 is a newer model, nd appears to have a keyhole.

Do you know any site that has a picture of the back of the CS-2? I'm still a little afraid that even if I can get it on the wall it might stick out so much past the tv it would look funny.

Does anyone have information on VM20 matching with the Monitor series?

Any suggestions for a set of speakers around that price that would be smaller in size but equal in quality?

I have almost the exact same needs. I have Monitor 60s for the L/R and a CS2. I moved and now I have no where to put a huge center speaker.

    VM20? ... RM Center?

Any other ideas for an over the fireplace center?
