i just got a pair of sda 2b's and someone asked me what the dfference is in 2b and 2a and i couldn't tell them. so i'd like to know the difference between the sda 2b and sda 2a. thanks.

Did you buy the ones off of CL in VA? If so they are SDA 2b studio model.

ya those are the ones i got. i know they are 2b's i'm just wondering what the difference is between the a's and b's. can't seem to find anything spec wise on the two of them.

Here are the specs for your SDA 2b's they are the studio version.

SDA 2a had two MW6510 mids and one sl2000 tweeter also. Ht was 39 1/2 inches a little taller than your studios's I believe.
Your SDA 2b's are a fine sounding speaker.
To answer your other thread be careful using the yamaha AVR i.e. keep the volume very low. You need to get some high current power to the SDA's. Seperate amp will do the trick.
