Which center (with monitor 50's)
Hey Gang-
I am about to purchase a pair of monitor 50's. I don't know which center to go with for voicematching and timbre. I know the cs1 matches, but would like to go with the cs2 as an upgrade. My concern is that the cs2 has speakers on it that are 1-1/4" bigger than those on the monitor 50. Will it still match well? The description on both the cs1 and cs2 read that they were made to match the monitor series...please help!

Out of curiosity, where did you get the Monitor 50s and for how much? I'm looking into getting a pair for my parents' setup (which currently has a CS1 with R15 fronts) but can't find them for much under $300/pair in the black finish.
To answer your question, both the CS1 and CS2 timbre match. In my opinion, the CS2 is not worth the extra $100 because the CS1 does the job just fine. However, I'm sure there will be others that have actually compared the two side by side that will disagree (which I have NOT done, by the way).

I am going to get them from amazon.com ...If I remember right about 145 a pair. Can anyone else lend anymore input?
thank you! -

That is the cheapest price that I can find, too, especially considering there is no shipping charges at Amazon.
I don't mean to burst your bubble, but someone's gotta do it before you get thinking about this too much - that price is per speaker, NOT per pair.
Sorry
