For sale, a pair of Magnepan MMG's. Conservatively, they're a 8.5/10. There's one small scratch on one of their frames, otherwise I can't find anything wrong with them. I have the original packaging and I believe I also have the original manual/documentation.
Here's the manufacturer's information on them: http://magnepan.com/model_MMG
Here's the only snag, local pickup on Long Island ONLY. Absolutely NO shipping.
Price: $375 OBO
Feel free to PM or email me if you have any questions.

Man am I glad I live really just out of driving range. Those are nice little things for that money. Just out of driving range and no use whatsoever for them. To the untrained that might look like a deal-breaker.
-
And you say you'll hang on to these and bring them to Polkfest?

Chuck,
At this time, I'm unsure how I will be traveling to Polkfest. So I wouldn't be able to commit to bringing them with me, sorry."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. I just picked up a pair of these recently, they are amazing. It's such a good scam by magnepan. They give you this affordable little bombshell . . . now all I can think about is what a 1.6QR sounds like or even some of its bigger brothers.

I don't have to wonder what the 1.6QR sounds likeDKG999

I don't think they give way much to the bigger brothers if used in a smaller room. That is how I became familar with them. Four of them in a very small room. So small the surrounds were almost within arm's reach. Placement was as bad as can be for the fronts too, and it STLL sounded great. Sadly, that guy no longer lives three doors down.
Little magic speakers is what they are. -
Communication has dropped off, so I assume they're still available.
Anyone local want to give these a try?"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -

Anyone along the 95 corridor (NY Metro to Washinton, DC) that is interested in these, I will deliver them to you as long as you are not too far from 95. I live right down the road from Mike and I have 3 weeks left of working in MD. After that time, the offer no longer stands.
