I think there was a review on the CRM-2's in last month's issue of that E-mag Polk sends me, Playback. It was a good one, from what I remember. Lemme see if I can find it...

Thank you for the review. The one thing that was clear was that they require mass amounts of power. They have to be at least 4ohm speakers. No way do those things take 440wts at 8ohms. Why not?? My Amazings will take a kW+ with ease
Specs call out 8 Ohms nominal. -
I owned a pair of CRM-2s for the past few months (just sold them). Nice little speakers (emphasis on 'little'). Definitely need a sub though (I used the Sunfire True Sub Jr with mine).
