Did you think the P.C. situation is out of control in the U.S alone... ?

.... well ... not necessarily . . .

The UK is off the reservation as far as "PC" attitudes go (among other things). George Orwell was like Nostradamus when it comes to that place.

What about the English Muslim 3 year old who won't eat a good ol' American Frank? He must be racist too.

It's not racism, it's culture. I've seen a 6 month old Korean baby getting a taste of kimchi juice out of the jar (my kids won't touch kimchi)... the parents are training them to like the foods they like.

I think you're wrong. When I was 2, I remember walking to the local Chinese Restaurant and making faces at the food, just so they would knew where I stood.

Your kids are probably as racist as I was then. Don't worry though. They'll likely grow out of it. In fact, I love Japanese people these days, their raw fish is to die for.

Isn't associating a group of people based on their signature cuisine much more racist than just allowing people to not like food without thought of race?

My family is Italian, and yet I'm not a big fan of cured hams like prosciutto, does that mean I hate my own race? What would my grandmother think?!

Just because a kid doesn't like a certain food does not make him racist. Kids don't like a lot of foods that they either should like or will like later in life; so that is not mark. Plus, there are a lot of people of don't like certain food. Does that make them racist? I think the government group would like the label those adults as racist too, but can't because of the up uproar it would cause. So instead they decide to target the youngest and most easily influenced and try to brain wash them while they can. It's a sad day when not being racist doesn't mean you're not...

The sad thing is the ones who claim people are intolerant are the most intolerant. A little moronic. I mean ironic. No I mean moronic. Am I a racist?
    I am not Paul Harvey.
    Good day.

I didn't want to eat pizza when I was a kid because I didn't know what it was, nor did I eat anything with onions. Kids just don't like some foods when they are young. Now, onion is one of the most used ingredient in my cooking's and I certainly won't turn away good pizza either.

Some of these people should be put out of work for being imbecile.

I think that currently, the P.C-culture craze behaves like a black hole.
it's still rapidly growing in mass, consuming every ounce of common sense surrounding it.
    but eventually it will collapse.

I'm Italian and lactose intolerant, my body wants me to be a racist, but I fight it every step of the way.

I have a peanut allergy, which basically means I hate everything made by George Washington Carver. I have no tolerance for the stuff he's credited for making, so I guess I am a racist too.

You did that because you weren't taught, or fed, Chinese food from the beginning. What you eat, like, and dislike is a learned behavior. And I'm quite sure that the restaurant owners weren't watching you to see where you stood on their products. ;)

If they are given only what you give them to eat, and that's the only thing available, they'll eat it if they're hungry!

I thought you were talking about LIKING something, not tolerating it because you're starved for nourishment. I'm sure if I was starving I would eat squid or any number of foods I hate, but I would also say "blech" and not enjoy it.

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I had to take a racism seminar once that went this way:

If you don't help poor minorities, you're a racist because you're not willing to help and you're putting yourself above them. However, if you help poor minorities, then you are assuming that they are the same as you on the same level as you. And since they are culturally different than you, you are a racist because you're neglecting their differences.

So if you think you're different, than your a racist for not being the same; and if you think you're the same, than you are a racist for not accepting their differences...

What if you are a poor majority? Do you still have to help? Because honestly, at that point, I feel like they are putting me on a pedestal and expecting more from me than I am capable of providing. It is insensitive to my situation and does respect the diversity of my racial majority group.

    This whole thread is stupid.

You racist for thinking that just because you think you are less fortunate or able to give that suddenly you are exempt from giving to the truly poor.
