Ok, I've never tried a Pizza Hut delivery before but they had a decent looking coupon. I call them and they say that my estimated delivery time is 4:34 pm (I ordered at 4:00 pm). I'm thinking that's pretty neat that they can estimate my delivery time. Well now it's 5:03 pm and I do not have my pie. What's up with that ?? At what point should I make other plans? If the friggin pizza driver ever shows up I'm going to kick him in the nuts. I know it's not his fault but I'll feel better. :D

Please tell me you didn't go off on some girl because you didn't get your pizza...

I realize that it's mildly inconvenient at least, but c'mon...

I'll never understand this type of over-reactive behavior, and especially taking it out on someone who had nothing to do with it. You're telling me that your need to vent is of greater importance than her right to not be belittled and cursed at, you probably just ruined her night because you didn't get your pizza?

Think about that for a minute and tell me if it doesn't sound odd.

You have the right to be pissed, and to **** and complain. If it's really taht big of a thing for you, then take the time to write a letter to their corporate office, or pay a visit or call the store manager.

+1 what PM said. Sure, we all lose it over stupid **** once in a while, but try to aim your rage at someone who deserves it (or a punching bag or something constructive). Especially over something as stupid as a pizza (if you can call what Pizza Hut sells pizza).

Well I may have exagerrated what I actually said for comic purposes. But I was totally disgusted at the total indifference to even the smallest level of customer service. And yea it's just a pizza :D

It may be "just pizza" but the fact that we seem to now expect to put up with lousy customer service, people that can't even repeat an order in english, etc. is a pretty sad comment. I think we need to expect and demand more, and not acquiesse to mediocrosy.

With that said, the response to "just pizza" needs to be appropriate, but needs to be made.

I'm with Doug on this. The more we allow mediocrity the more we get. If someone gives you a time like they did then you should expect them to meet that time. Plus, he had me at "acquiesse".

Ok, how about this? Next time, get your happy **** off the sofa and go get the pizza yourself??

If you want to ****, **** to someone that can actually do something about it. Speak to the manager or whatever but just to **** out someone that probably had nothing to do with it, that's retarded.

I agree about the whole lousy service thing, I do. In that case, I'd tell the manager then vote with my feet and take my business elsewhere.

The other side of that coin is that today, we want someone to do everything for us, up to and including, shaking our dicks twice after we piss...and we don't want to pay for that service. At a certain point, concessions need to be made. It's unrealistic to think that we are going to get 1st class service on everything for nothing.

Just to lose your mind over a late delivery, that's stupid.

lol, nope no pizza for me. And this wasn't a late pizza. Let me give analogy of what happened. Say Doro has a amp for sell in the flea market, but since his time is money he is dosen't want to waste time on calls like say from cfrizz asking if it's got 200 watts. So Doro hires a third party to handle the calls. So you call the third party, and say "I'd like to buy Doro's amp". They say, "Let me get you in touch with Doro". You then talk to Doro who asks for you name, address, and tells you that the amp should be delievered on Tuesday. Tuesday comes and no amp, but you figure hey things happen let's give it some time. So on Thursday when you don't get the amp you decide to give Doro a call to see if he shipped it. But to talk to Doro you have to talk to his third party people first. They say that they have no clue what is going on and they will have to contact Doro to find out what happened. They then tell you that they talked to Doro but Doro said he never talked to you and would never have sold you the amp in the first place because he doesn't ship to your address. The third party then acts like you are some crazy dude calling about an amp you never ordered and says you couldn't have possibly ordered one since they don't even deliver to your address. So did the third party take an earful, you bet.

Anyhow I'm done with this, leaving for vaction in a few hours, a little fishing a little ATVing, a little relaxing.

    It's a flawed analogy.

We are talking about a 10 dollar pizza and an hour and, last time I checked, PH doesn't charge for delivery.

Again, if waiting an extra thirty mins for your pie with extra pepperoni is the catalyst for a meltdown, jeeze man, get a grip.

What do you want, GPS installed on your pie?

Have a good vacation, relax, enjoy and gain some perspective.

Excellent idea, I bet if I called them back and gave them your address in Korea they tell tell me the pie would be there in 34 minutes. How do you get a decent pizza in Korea?

Well, you walk down to the bus station. Pay 4,700 won, ride bus to Yongsan USAG. Walk to front gate, bang a left. Walk about a half mile to Itaewon and there is a decent pizza place there. Eat. Walk back to Yongsan front gate. Wait to get let back in. Walk back to bus station. Pay 4,700 won. Ride bus (1hr 15 mins/2 hrs depending on traffic) back to Osan. Walk back to dorm. Call wife w/broken arm back home in SC and tell her that I'd really would have had dinner with her and am looking fwd to December when that will be a possibility.

See why I may not be all that sympathetic to your plight??

I certainly respect and understand the point TroyD made and apologize if any of my comments were seen as offensive. There's a lot of good people on this forum that I respect including TroyD so let's just chock this thread up as a mistake and move on.

Bottom line, in order to provide cheap pizza, they outsourced/offshored
their order line. Now you get cheap pizza and lousy service. The pizza
is quality is pretty poor, too.
Call the mom and pop joint around the corner, you'll get a great pizza.
They'll answer their own phone, too. But don't expect to pay $5.
