Surround speakers to go with Monitor 40's?

Typically monitor 30's are recommended for surrounds with with 40's but I didn't like the 30's much when I auditioned them. I could go with the 40's for the rears as well, but I think the dipole Fxi3's would kick ****!!

Would using Fxi3 for rears/surrounds be a mismatch for this setup since the Fxi3's are meant to go with the Rti series??

    I think they would be a mismatch. If you don't like the 30s, I'd get the 40s. I recently set my dad up with two pairs of Monitor 40s and a CS1 and he thinks they're awesome.

    Good luck in whatever you decide to do and remember they're your ears, not ours.
