Different Monitor 7's??

I found what I believe are some Monitor 7's at a pawn shop. What is different to me is that the name plate is on the cabinet which is below the grill. They have a 1" to 2" area below the grill. All the 7's I have seen, the grill covers the entire front of the speaker. ?? what model drivers are used in the speakers?
Thanks,

I believe I have a pair of 7C's that fit that description, they have a SL1000 tweeter."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

I also have a pair of Monitor 7Cs that are set up that way with the nameplate at the bottom and the grill not covering the last inch or so of the bottom of the front. Mine also have a fuse on the back instead of a polyswitch on the crossover. Yours should read "7C" in the space where the serial number is if they are 7Cs.

Sorry, I forgot to add, you can pull the drivers and see what model you have, or maybe one of the more knowledgeable members can tell you what would fit. There is more than one model of tweeter that can fit these as well, including a model of Peerless tweets. Sorry I don't know any more specs than that. The Polk Monitor 7 reference page is here:http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/specs/monitor7/

That's is not the same model 7. Anybody have the link to identifying tweeters. I forgot where it is located.

My 7B's look just like what you're describing. Logo on the wood instead of the grill, which is shorter than the speaker.

Yes that sounds like it. Do you have peerless? and what model is you mid?
Thanks,

Here's my B's. I like the look of the logo on the front instead of the grill.

Those are peerless tweeters. Those are the same ones I have seen. Do you know what drivers are in them? I can't believe how hard it is to find a picture of this 7B. LOL Worse part is I saw that thread. It must have been the great stands you put them on that threw me off. LOL
