Hey Herbhead. I thought that this would be of interest to you, since it concerns you. The following is a post I have made on some other forums warning others of your ways. Do the right thing and I might consider removing the warning based upon your timing and cooperation. I urge others to copy and paste this post to the forums they hang on as well. Here's the post.

Here's another scumbag from Flea-prey. Held an auction to sell his speakers, someone won and now he's backing out not wanting to sell the speakers THREATENING [blackmailing] negative feedback because he wasn't happy with the sales price....even though he set the minimum bid. For an in depth look, follow the thread link below.

    Thread link...... http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67735

    Flea-prey auction link.... http://tinyurl.com/6rykms

Again, this seller's user name is "tringtrang" on Flea-prey and his user name on Club Polk is "herbhead". He lives in Toronto, ON in Canada.

Exact words from the blackmailing seller.... "If you neg me for this, you will reduce my chance for a successful re-listed auction and cost me the listing fee and selling fee on this auction. I will neg you back, then you will likely add a comment and I will too. How does that make you feel?"

    Dude,

Come to Denver and I will physically piss on your head! Holy crap you just sold a pair of 20+ year old speakers for 3050.00 and you are crying here? As someone else stated man up and let the kid come get his speakers.

Slight correction as there would be no animosity (in his mind) had he sold them for $3050.00. The final bid was $1500.USD.

He would file suit at his location. That would help him as the seller would ignore the required appearance and he would win judgment by default. He could then take that judgement to the vicinage of the seller and apply for enforcement of the order. The US and Canada have reciprocal agreements which would allow this.

Understand the judgement will be for the value of the goods, not the goods themselves. He could also apply to vacate the judgement at any time.

The question is do you want them that bad. It's alot of ****. Just f#ck with him as much as you can and look for another set, IMHO. If you need help, I'd be glad to piss in his cornflakes on a regular basis for ya. POS...

Getting a judgment is all fine and dandy, but getting payment is another thing entirely, especially in a civil case. If this were a criminal case that would be entirely different.

A judgment typically attaches to property(usually real estate) and then the judgment is only recovered if the property is sold and there are enough proceeds to cover the judgment; ie; the judgment may be in 3rd or 4th or 5th position and those rarely get paid (a mortgage, second mortgage and other liens get paid first). The judgment is typically good (enforceable) for 7 years and after that it falls and the issue is done.

This type of judgment is rarely if ever attached to earnings, stocks, dividends, etc.

I would just like to say that I didn't have to post the link of these speakers. These guys on here know every Polk Audio item that hits the market. They are on top of their game. All I had to do was verify that these are my items. In addition I have been a member since 2004, and they have helped me search for and analyze speakers since my affiliation with the forum (these guys are all brothers from another mother on here). It’s unfortunate that we are faced with the situation that has happened, and even worse that I have to be beaten up over a few measly dollars. I will look at this as a learning experience and (one that I will not forget).

I'd follow the earlier advice and follow up as much as possible with eBay. Forget about the toilet legal advice. The guy just took a leak on the wrong forum and the wrong group of folks....he's got a long road ahead of him.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Absolutely a deadbeat seller and I can't believe after this he STILL has a perfect Flea-prey feedback. Un-freakin'believable! That place ain't nothin' but a crooks paradise. I'll be sure to update the threads on the other forums. Thanks for the update.

Has anyone done the "Ask the seller a question" thing yet? I say we gang bang him on that.

Deep Bass, I think you need to drop some negative feedback on this guy. If he retaliates then so be it. I was under the impression that sellers couldn't drop negative feedback now. Is that not correct?

FYI: Sellers cannot leave negative feedback for buyers anymore. There should be no fear of retaliatory feedback strikes anymore.

Deep Bass, leave this idiot a neg strike!

Auction still available, but I think they keep them for 60 days only. You have two days (maybe one) to post feedback. GO FOR IT!!!!

Drop him a negative strike and leave a link to this thread as your comment. That will more than adequately warn a prospective buyer. A pox on those speakers, if you will.

Polk doesn't offer new crossovers, it's typically a DIY job. If you don't feel as you could handle it, see if you can find someone local to help you out.
