Free '411' calls......

So you don't ever have to pay for another '411' information call from your cell phone provider, call this number instead: 800-463-6327

They are national, and are funded by advertisers so they don't charge the $1.49 or more per call that most cell providers do...........

Enjoy.

    I have used 1-800-free-411.
Same thing, and easy to remember. I use it, because my cell company charges extra to use 411 on their plan. Ads are short, and non intrusive.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Google SMS. Just text whatever you're looking for to "GOOGL" (45546). Assuming you don't pay for texts it's free.

Also good for for A variety of other services, like movie times, weather, etc.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I would put *67 in front of the 800# to block your phone # from being passed to them so that they can't turnaround and sell your phone # to telemarketers.

No comment. This thread is about free 411 calls, not about personal attacks.

It's not meant as a personal attack but rather commentary on your incessant blithering about your crackpot ideas and how everyone and the government is out to get you.

News flash dude, nobody gives a rat's aft regions about you or anyone else. You are so small in the grand scheme of things that even "small potatoes" is too big of a term to describe it. Stop worrying about who is doing what to get you and go about living your life for you. No one else is worried about you, why give them the pleasure of you worrying about them? As soon as you stop worrying about all of that, you'll live a much more interesting and fulfilling life and you won't have to make up part numbers for a tweeter mod that destroys performance and pontificate about it ad nauseum just to feel special.

Now, back to the 411 deal.

Whatever happened to phone books? I still use them when I want to find a number. They are usually more accurate than 411 and I'll let you all in on a little secret. I used to date a chick (that's not the secret) that worked for AAA as one of those operators that picks up when you call the AAA customer assistance number where you get 411 like service. Before she worked at AAA, she worked as a 411 operator. Guess what they all do? They look through the phone book! Some even use Google or Mapquest to get you directions! I'm not kidding either.

Why pay for 411 when the phone book comes to your house? I can understand being in a new, unknown area but if you are just looking for a number for a business or something at home, open the phone book or look on Google or Mapquest yourself and save the money.

Why use the phone book when you can search the identical thing online in 5% of the time without taking up any space?

'Cause the phone book actually is free for the consumer. It's paid for by the revenue generated by the ad space that the businesses listed in it take out. You have to pay for your internet access unless you like use it at work or something.

That's kind of an academic argument; no one gets internet access JUST to use an online phone book. The actual listings on Verizon's (or whomever's) site are free for the same reasons as the book itself.

You're a huge proponent of technology usually, I'm surprised you're so reluctant to give up on the clunky phone book :)

Use the GPS, then 800-free-411, then laptop till I get a Wi-Fi signal.

I've got a tinfoil Sox hat, so I'm in the clear.

Way to go, Brett !

Here Club Polk was making excellent progress towards a kinder, gentler Club Polk and you had to go and start a thread on such a controversial topic as
    "Free 411 Calls" !!

*67 doesn't work on 800 numbers ... I know because thats the way it is, and also because I have 800 #'s and have tested it myself

You don't get a message, but your # still gets passed through

Then either you have some weird **** phone, or she has a weird **** 800 provider.

The law sez *67 does not have to work when dialing 800 numbers. Mainly because the person you are calling is paying for the call and not you. Search Google for more information.

Someone mentioned Google text, they also have Google Local (use to be called Goog 411) at 1-800-466-4411. It's quick and accurate, Google is my friend, he wants to be your friend too!
