Old Infinity's....Worth it?

Just found this local ad on Craigslist. I called the guy and he told me they are all in excelent shape without any damage, and have original boxes. $130 for the whole set.

Anyone have experience with these? I really don't know anything about the center and surrounds. I'm primarily interested in goofing around with the floorstanders. Any of you see any reason why they wouldn't be worth the asking price?

Thanks!

    Those things suck.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Wow. Such a way with words.:)

    Any other opinions?

Keep in mind I'm not expecting some amazing speaker to use in my 2ch rig. At most they would probably replace my old **** garage speakers, or move on to another home at a slight profit.

Perfect garage speakers and it's not a bad deal for $130....better?

I had a pair of the SM-112's for years. They were great, until I actually got a clue as to what I was doing with my system. :) I used them as mains in my home theater set-up and got them for a good deal. Got rid of them when I decided to try something new. Haven't missed them since the day that I got rid of them.

I have some SM-150's I paid $75 for and I think they sound pretty good. If they are in great shape I think they would be worth it.

I used to love infinity's, but then I discovered Polk's. They crank, but the foam surrounds deteriorate, and need to be replaced. If in good shape I would buy them, and sell them. With good surrounds it is a no lose situation.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm headed to pick them up tomorrow. I've already got someone who wants them incase I don't care for them.

    I'll report back.
