Hi Guys,
I posted a question earlier about the difference in quality between the Vifa ring radiator tweeter and an aluminum tweeter. I wanted to know this b/c i was offered a deal to purchase at a great price a pair of Monitor Audio Studio 20 SE's. Considering my wife will only allow one pair of towers in the house should I pass on this deal? It would mean a one of the pairs would have to be moved to the office. I love my Lsi's but wanted other people's opinions on the Monitors. This is the only review I could find of this speaker

Thanks!

If you love your LSI's as you say, then why switch? Just because you got offered a deal? It wouldn't be enough of an incentive for me to leave what I know & love for the unknown of something new that I might not like but got because someone offered me a good deal.

The Monitor Audio bookshelf speakers are alot more fun than the floorstanders. I'd keep the LSi and look for a small pair of monitors....look for the higher model bronze or silver series.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I ask because I was trying to get advice on people's opinions of the older Monitor Audio's vs the Lsi 15's. Yes I am happy with the Lsi but I think we are all looking for upgrades. The Studio 20 SE's during their time seem to be one of the better speakers out there. I was wondering how they stack up to the newer Lsi's with the vifa tweeter. Just curious I guess.

I don't like metal tweeters. They always give me a headache after prolonged listening sessions.
