Anyone have Bon Jovi's Lost Highway?

One of my favorite bands when I was a kid. Lost track of them until I heard "(You Want To) Make a Memory" for the first time tonight. Loved it. Was curious how the rest of the Lost Highway CD sounds. Will probably pick up a copy tomorrow. I'll post my opinion later.

I love discovering new music. It's one of the things that gives me hope for mankind - that we can create such beauty.

Anyway, I love the video. The girl is gorgeous.

Here's the lyrics.

Hello again, it's you and me
Kinda always like it used to be
Sippin' wine, killing time
Trying to solve life's mysteries

How's your life, it's been a while
God it's good to see you smile
I see you reaching for your keys
Looking for a reason not to leave

If you don't know if you should stay
If you don't say what's on your mind
Baby just breathe
There's nowhere else tonight we should be

You wanna make a memory?

I dug up this old photograph
Look at all that hair we had.
It's bittersweet to hear you laugh
Your phone is ringing I don't wanna ask

If you go now, I'll understand
If you stay, hey, I've got a plan
We're gonna make a memory
You wanna steal a piece of time
You could sing the melody to me
And I could write a couple of lines

You wanna make a memory?

If you don't know if you should stay
If you don't say what's on your mind
Baby just breathe
There's nowhere else tonight we should be

You wanna make a memory
You wanna steal a piece of time
You could sing the melody to me
And I could write a couple of lines

You wanna make a memory?

I have it...it doesn't get much playing time in my rig. Love the song you're talking about but the rest of them don't do much for me and the recording isn't real great.

Spend $$$ on advertisement, promotion, and video. Spend time writing, rewriting, and tweaking your songs just right to get a hit but then you go and do a not so great recording? Argh, I don't get it.

Hockeyboy, that's a mighty generous offer if you find it. I haven't picked up a copy but I may do it tomorrow.

Thx for the feedbacks and thanks to whoever moved this thread to the right location.

I have it and like it fine. I've listened to them (him) since they came out years ago so maybe that's why I can "tolerate" their stuff...for lack of a better term. I really never care what someone thinks about what I like to listen to. I'm eclectic and I like what I like and have learned about all kinds of other music thru the forums that I thought I'd never listen to before. We are all different and that's what makes music so great.

Don't get me wrong...i like BonJovi just fine. I used to listen to them all the time back in the day. Since i have been learning to appreciate finer quality music....none of their albums get much playtime...this one even less.

My wife is a Bon Jovi fan, so we have it (Lost Highway)...IMO it's "OK" nothing special, but not necessarily bad either.

    I would why?

One of my favorites is This Left Feels Right on SACD.

I have that on SACD and also the DVD as well. It's a cool twist to the older songs.

I've picked up a copy and have been listening for a couple of days. Besides "(You Want To) Make a Memory", the rest of the album sounds like Bon Jovi meets John Cougar Mellencamp. I'm not used to it and it may take a few more listenings to warm up to it.

As far as 'Memory' goes, the recording sometimes sounds like Jon is standing behind the band singing. Love the song.

I like the song with LeeAnn Rimes (sp?), too. They did that song live on some show on CMT last fall and, well, she's rather nice to look at. :D

I really enjoy this song when it first came out. Great video. The CD is going to be my next yourmusic.com purchase.
