A few weeks ago i had sent my tweeters
from my 50s to polk for new ones.
Installed the new ones and tested
them and they worked fine.
Never used them since.
I just picked up a adcom preamp
on the forums (thanks again) i'm
using a onkyo M-282 and the R50s.
And after a few hours of playing with
my new toys i find that the one tweet
is dead.
After trying another tweeter still dead.
Looks like the crossover is bad.
Any chance i could use a crossover
from my R150s?

    How much power is being used on the 50's? I don't think they need an amp, I think the power from your 805 is good enough, but if your running a 2 channel then the 282 should have been fine also. I can see the amp for the rti8's you have but the 50's just don't need a heck of alot.

    I was told that cliping hurt the tweets the first time.
    And that was with my HTR540.
    With the adcom and the 282 they sounded better
    than with the 805.
