Alternative to FXi5's?
I'm slowly buidling a system for a 12 x 16 media room. So far i have
(2) RTi10's and (1) CSi3 (I know everyone recommends the CSi5, but my room is relatively small and the I got the CSi3 for $100).
My question is what surrounds should i look for and how many for the room size? I was looking for FXi5's but they dont seem to be available any more.

which of those is better?
Are they better or worse then FXi5's?
how many should i use, 2 or 4? -
There's absolutely nothing wrong with the FXi3 for your application. That's typical room size, no worries. I find it strange that you only have one so far but keep your eyes peeled for another....or another pair.
I'm with Keiko, as you can get some smoking deals on discontinued models.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
I have Fxi3s( 1 pair) and they sound great, nothing wrong them at all. You should be fine with the 3s, granted you find another one. In a 7.1 setup I would opt for the Rti4s, which is a great speaker, relatively smaller than the Rti6 and you can mount them on the wall using the B-tech 77 wall mount. I have seen people use the fxi3 and the rti 4's both in there surround setup. I personally have 4 fxi5's for my surround in a 7.1 setup. The fxi 5 and fxi 3's are not made anymore, but you can still find them on ebay. The fxia4 replaced the fxi 3's and the fxia6's replaced the fxi5's.

I'm not on a budget, but also not an audiophile so wont go crazy. I'll use the system mostly for movies but for music also.
