Polk R50's at Frys for $59/each !!!
Howdy - Anyone using the Polk R50's for 2 ch. listening??? I see that Frys.com has them for $59/each. Seems pretty cheap! I have a set of R6's for front channel HT and RTA 11T's for 2-ch. listening. I was thinking of picking up a set of the R50's and using them as satellites just for fun. Any thoughts?

I have a set that I listen to at work, best $120 speakers you will hear. I have a set of 3 rti8s on the way and plan to use the r50 as rears in a surround system, and an rti8 as center.

I have them as front R/L - they do OK for 2 ch. listening, but not great. Just let those rti0's drop a little more & they'll be their replacements!

Thats a great deal for some R50s.
I still have my R40s. Awesome little speakers for the price. -
I got my R50's at Fry's for $200 and think I got a good deal. I usually drive them with an older model, middle of the line Onkyo and they sound pretty good. I was recently driving them with and HK75/Adcom 545 combo and was very suprised at how much better they sound with better amplification. Bottom line is this: you can't go wrong at that price. I'd like to hear the $120 speakers that are better.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden
