They look as if they have been drove hard and put away wet...would be surprised if all the drivers were firing.

If your that close, the might be worth picking up,notice the pics, they either have the grills on upside down,or your looking at the bottom caps...If the bottom caps look better than the top..then Lord have mercy:D

Yea, they look like a complete disaster, I gotta keep an eye on the bidding to see where it goes. The parts alone are easily worth the asking price right now.

Disaster is in the eye of he beholder. I'd say other than the end caps, nothing jumps out at me as being a bloody mess.

As Bagged said they look worthy of a remodel...Looks like a good Winter restoration project.

Agreed. If they cabs are actually bad someone could do as I have done, and just make new ones with some nice veneer. Also note that I am pretty sure that a few 1C's left with the older blade/blade connector. A serial number check may be in order. I als liked the B/B speakers anyways if they don't use the dim tweeter. Also the tweets are usually replaced too:)

The only damage I see is scratched bottoms. I bet most of them look like that after 20 years.

I bought a pair that were in real nice condition. Just the side material was coming loose in a few small areas.
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

I do not think they are 1C's. or at least they are a very early version. The IC connector looks like a blade/blade connector. 1C's should be pin/blade

They must be an early version, the serials are 6240/6276 and mine (later models) are in the 9000 range. Also the blade/blade as Lasareath pointed out later became pin/blade and was relocated into the binding post cup. Still, they don't look bad from the pictures (not that there are really any "bad" SDA's).
