    If you've ever built a crystal AM radio using a kit with wires and springs and put a pink ear-phone in one ear and were impressed that it worked.

    I remember when my dad got one of those. He was a salesman most of my life, and he was probably one of the first peopel I knew to have a "car phone." Had to be back in.... 1993 or 1994.
