Just bought CSi3/RTi6's, debating on CSi5

Just bought four RTi6's with a CSi3 center (running the free PSW10 that came with it for now...).

We've been testing it and are debating on whether we should have gotten the CSi5 instead. Thinking of trying to take it back and exchange it.

Mix of music and movies... long narrow room (21ft by 12ft approx).

Thoughts?

This CSi3 vs. CSi5 thread was helpful. Still not sure what I want to do yet.

The CSi3 sounds great for music (XM and I tossed in Underworld's Beaucoup Fish - although I'm not sure I'll keep the center active for music, we'll see...) and the movies we've tried (House of Flying Daggers (echo game scene), Toy Story, Stargate Atlantis) - it doesn't sound so hot when it's just the straight tv coming through. Very high, thin, tinny. TV as the source is an issue - but we watch a lot of tv... ! :)

Could this just be a sub / crossover issue? We're using the small PSW10 sub which we'll upgrade down the road. My AVR's auto setup (model in sig) put the crossover at 60hz.

I had both the CSi3 and CSi5 at one time. If you have space for it, the CSi5 is the one to have. Much more open sounding and disperses the center channel better in the room.

I called the store and we're taking the CSi3 back for a CSi5 (it'll be in later this week).

I think the match will be better with the four RTi6's.

    Thanks!
