SDA 1C's

These are special speakers. Holy crap do they sound good; better than I remember. I don't know if it's the new x-overs or tweeters or both but they continue to impress me everyday. Listening to Yello- The Race and the bass is shaking the floor and it's not even turned up that loud. I have no idea how they sounded before the upgrades, but probably not near as good as they do now.

Just had share. Damn, these are special speakers!

    Don't tell Norm. He priced them for a specific level of satisfaction and he will bill you if you exceed it.:D Just ask Carl. Same thing happened with the Quad. Two emails about how great it is, and he got billed for $200.

    The caps on my 1C's are burned in after the upgrade,I'm driving them with a tube pre and some high power/current amplification,,they have Never sounded so good. The speakers actually disappear,leaving only the phenominal soundstage,the 1c's are indeed special. Have fun,happy listening.;)

    1C were my first SDAs, then they went to madmax, a whole truck load of SDAs have past through here, 1Cs are only second to the 2Bs that I love.

    Russman's SRS 2s are the best I have heard.

    I hope i'm lucky enough to some day own a pair of SDA 1C's. I'd be a very happy boy. ;)

    Sounds like you are enjoying them! Congrats! I'd love to hear them and get an explaination of the cable that links them together!

    Nope, my first pair were black studio, the ones I sold to Mark had oak caps, as you know.
