Saw Arcade Fire at Chicago Theater tonight with the lady...no doubt, the best show we've ever seen. Please please go see them, even if you have to pay scalping prices. I did and it was still well worth it. Top notch music and showmanship.

Maybe I'm still numb from the show, but this the best band that's come around for a long while.

My roommate wants to fly to Oregon to se them in concert and go to their after party. She will too. She flew to Hawaii to see Pearl Jam and U2 in concert. I heard that AF puts on one hell of a show. I would love to go.

The Decemberists sucked, Arcade Fire sounded great live. Wow, the planet has gone off it's axis, human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria..... ;)

Glad you had a good time!

Just saw them again...not quite up to Friday night's performance, but still an incredible show. Just great music.

Demi, I'm surprised you haven't enjoyed them live. Most people (including me) rave about their live shows...where did you see them? Why didn't you dig it? Curious to hear your thoughts.

I used to go to their shows when they were a new and unpopular band, although, that didn't last long. Musically they were always very strong, but vocally they were terrible. I'm personally very glad to see things have gotten much better. :)

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Haven't checked the site... I'll do so right now. Just got the word from my wife about this date. I love how they mix up their venues. Everything from a theater lobby to a church to riverside. These guys are amazing.

Columbus, OH would appear to be the closest destination if you're willing to make the trek. I'll probably end up going to that show as well.

Hmmm, might try to make one of those shows.

LCD Soundsystem is opening...that's some good dance/punk/electronica/whatever-you-call-it.

    I'll do my best Darla.
Though the ticket expressly forbids cameras or cell phones with cameras:(

It was the same deal at the Interpol show. Security virtually molested us to see if we were "holding". I had to hide my camera behind a bush so as not to lose my place in a line which was about three blocks long -- no doubt due to the security. Fortunately, it was still there.

Maybe security will be more lax. It is an outdoor concert.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Set list? Best song?

How cool is "Intervention" with Win Butler playing the organ?
