differences between 55's and 55i's

Besides the i. What was improved/changed? Better/worse/no real difference?

    Most has said no big change.

    But Polk changed the tweeter and crossover for something.

    i dont know for sure but didnt the rt line not have real wood...not sure...and the drivers are different colors..lol

    good call, I forgot about the older black woofer and the newer blue ones. You are correct on the wood finishes also.

    didnt the old ones have silk tweets...new ones have trilaminate...or are dey the same....and im about positive the old ones didnt hit as low or as high as the 55i...but i could be wrong....probally plays louder tooo 91 db...and probally is wider and taller...and probally looks alot better...which i know if a fact...lol

    they also didnt have a raised bezel....ummm...what else...umm i dont no...i bet the crossover is diff. too...theres alot of things thats different...

    not sure but on the lower rt line models...they dont have power ports or arc port....so theres another difference...lol

    RT55's do have "power port" and trilam tweet. It looks like their cabinets are "real" wood also.
