I think Mark has one of those CTC amps. I think his is highly modded.

It should look familiar as that is MY picture, as in I took it.....weird. The internal shot is also mine and the power cords have not been upgraded on those units. He also doesn't have the boxes but the pictures include them. I wouldn't trust that sale as far as I could shotput those amps. What a picture thief.

Just to clarify, it isn't my auction as I sold my Adcoms monoblocks awhile ago.

That is Mark's CTC amp. It is highly modified. :D

I thought I recognized that. The internet is smaller than I thought.

You should report him Mark. It's basically misrepresentation.

I thought about it but the photos are public domain and I'm currently not running an auction with them in use nor am I selling the BBQ. Its a grey area in regards to eBay policy.

I don't think you could find a better example of buyer beware.

An entire Adcom rig went for about $290 around here on CL not too long ago. I got there about an hour too late. Two 565's were involved. Original boxes were involved. Guy had absolutely no clue.

Photos aren't public domain if you haven't given permission to use them. You can have that auction pulled for using your photos.

    Email:

Hello, 3 of those photos are not authorized for use by the owner, Polk Audio. They were originally posted in our forum which means they are our intellectual property, and they also happen to be of MY actual gear. It would swell if you would remove them and provide your own pictures. Thanks for your time.

    Response:

Actually once posted on the internet in a forum or on EBay they no longer are your intellectual property. Besides, what do you really care and how are you harmed in anyway? You and your friend must have alot of free time on your hands...in any case I removed the pics to ease your troubles...

    Reality:

Anything in this forum, or any forum for that matter can be considered intellectual property OF that actual forum, regardless of it being in a public domain. Blah, Blah....I just felt like being a concerned citizen since the ad is misleading and borderline fraudulent.

My friend? That would be eBay Safe Harbor honcho, of which I also contacted directly, thanks for playing.

The amps start to look a little worse when you actually see them huh? :D

Cathy and John - Thanks for sticking the torch under me, that was fun.

It's more fun to report them to eBay without contacting them first. eBay takes a long time to investigate and once the pictures are changed in the auction they won't do anything. If they do see the offending pictures, they'll pull down the auction and (if the seller's gotten previous strikes) they'll suspend him.
