If you keep them Polk's, skip the RTi's and go with LSi's. That way you won't be upgrading for a long time. Start with 7's if money is an issue and throw in an inexpensive but decent amp (Adcom 545 maybe), then later get the rest of the speakers from LSi lineup.

This is almost exactly what I did. I bought a set of 7's in the flea market and love them. Then I bought the lsic on the bay for 400.00 Now I'm waiting on a set of 15's and an amp. Take your time and hit the audio shops to see what sounds good. You may like something other then polks, who knows?

How do people compare the LSi to some Rocket Signature's?
Another question: How do people like the RTi12 with 3 7" woofers vs LSi with 1 8" woofer?

Let me know how y'all feel for both music and for movies, because I'm thinking about getting new fronts and then getting floorstanders.
Don't forget to look at My Home Theater :D

    Receiver - Onkyo TX-SR503
Fronts - Polk Audio Monitor 40
    Center - Polk Audio CS1
    Surrounds - Paradigm Cinema ADP
    Subwoofer - Velodyne VRP-1200

Danger Boy, I really dont know what to tell you bout what I'm not liking. I dont know what I'm really supposed to be looking for, i.e. imaging etc. But I do listen to all of my music I have and they're just starting to sound like muffled or distorted in a way but not really distorted, but maybe leaning to that direction.

I had that happen awhile back with my M70's. Turned out the tweeter was blown in one of them. Got that fixed and i was loving them again.
