Hello
Do you guys have any recommendations on online stores for DVD's. I've been having such a problem with Amazon lately. They keep sending the orders with DHL and their distribution center is 300 miles away from me. You can imagine the problem that creates..... I've told them about the problem but it doesn't do any good.....
Thanks

I've ordered from http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com for several years. I've had one problem with them in about 12 orders. Their twice a year 20% off sale is very worthwhile (July and September). I've heard from many people that their shipping is notoriously slow... I live only 3 hours from their warehouse in Chicago - so I don't have that delay usually. Free shipping vs. paying for normal delivery - the difference is negligeable to me where I'm at so I normally opt for free shipping.
Amazon - I haven't really had any major issues with them either, though.

I buy all my dvds at half.com. I don't care if they are used, for example I bought Silent Hill last night for 5.99 + 2.20 shipping in like new condition. I have never had a issue with any of the games, cds, dvds, or books purchased here except one textbook that was a "international" edition. It was missing pages and the binding was broken, but I paid $50 for it shipped and the guy refunded $30 of it. $20 for a broken textbook that was selling everywhere for $100+, and at the school store for $169 + tax.

I have ordered from many different sites. The main ones are Amazon and DeepDiscountDVD.
I use dvdpricesearch.com to find hard to find dvd's or to check prices and will usually order from whoever is cheapest or has what I want in stock. I have never really had a problem (other than slow shipping).
I have also heard that deepdiscountdvd has slow shipping, but being in illinois, I rarely have any problems. (I do have to pay tax though... )

I've been having some problems with Amazon lately too, they've been WAY too slow in shipping. Things don't even leave their warehouse for almost a week.If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I like DeepDiscount but their shipping to SoCal is VERY slow! [it once took 3 weeks to receive an order] I really don't mind because their prices are usually very good but you need to be patient! If you aren't in a hurry to get your orders deepdiscount is the way to go but if you just have to have them fast forget about it! The sales they run are usually very good like the 20% off mentioned above, they also sometimes run a buy one get one free that can be a very good deal! YMMV2 Channel:

I've used Deep Discount DVD on quite a few occasions since their prices, considering the free shipping, have usually been the lowest on the items I wanted. I haven't had a problem with unusually slow shipping(i.e. nothing more than about 8-9 days).

Movies Unlimited went smoothly. http://www.moviesunlimited.com I also had good experiences with dvdplanet and dvdempire.

Netflix.
You can buy their DVDs used with mint condition cases (since they obviously don't use them) for around $6. All the DVDs are resurfaced and in full working order.
That works for me.Lovin that music year after year.
