What you have listed will be a great starter 2 channel rig that can give you years of enjoyment unless you get the upgrade bug. Depending on your room and music tastes you may or may not need a sub. If you need a sub at a later date there are a couple of ways to hook it up...either via speaker level inputs or using the preouts of the 325 with a Y cable.
It's time to quit asking what everyone else would do. There are tons of sources on the internet to find reviews and articles of almost every piece of gear. I doubt if anyone will tell you that starting off with a NAD and Polk 2 channel rig is a bad move. Both companies offer great value for the money spent. Many here have taken just that route and many are still using the gear. It's time to "just do it!""Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

yes i agree 100% but asking help to gain knowledge??? aslong as you dont ask a dumbie but i've found numerous astute minds in here. anyway i followed that concept last time just doing it was barely satified a little older no less wiser so taking my time while I weigh the apples and oranges sorry if it acts as an annoyance for some or you but its all about getting a little insight be4. I think the Rti6 would be fine in that setup. Sub? maybe....but I don't think it is a "must have." Personally, I don't like subs in my 2-channel setup.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

Rti6 vs Pdigm Mini = let your ears decide. Both are fine speakers.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

I always utilize my sub when I listen in 2 channel mode.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

RTi6 would be a good foundation for what will be a great audio adventure.
I dont think I could've put it any better than that.
JOeyMagico M2, JL113v2x2, EMM, ARC Ref 10 Line, ARC Ref 10 Phono, VPIx2, Lyra Etna, Airtight Opus1, Boulder, AQ Wel&Wild, SRA Scuttle Rack, BlueSound+LPS, Thorens 124DD+124SPU, Sennheiser, Metaxas R2R -
I recently hooked up my rti-6's with the SVS 25-31 (tuned to 20hz) to see if I would be happy with the setup. After a good tune up, I let the decibels fly to see if the 6's could hang when paired with a capable sub. The end result is a reaffirming yes. You need to xover the 6's at no lower than 80 hz and you'll get plenty of loud clean music from your 2 channel setup.

The Rti-6 is my personal favorite from the entire RTi line. While it may not be capable of delivering the sheer volume and dynamics of the larger floor standing models, it offers a far more coherent sound with fewer peaks and valleys in the frequency response. When it comes to the Rti line and stereo playback, the 6 is where its at.
As Shack mentioned whether you will need a sub or not is something you will have to determine for yourself. Figure out your main speakers first and worry about the sub later.
In this sub $300 price range... there is only one other recommendation I would make to you given the budget and taste of music, and thats the Onix XLS speakers;

Products from the likes of Paradigm, B&W, NHT, PSB, et all... will offer great products in this range too.. but they will be more like lateral moves.. than upgrades. Subjectively and even non-subjectivly speaking... the XLS is miles ahead in regards to build and execution.Chicomorales:) -
I would lean to the RTi6 as well...Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

Steve have you ever heard a pair of paradigms before???Chicomorales:)

Never owned them, but have listened to many different models in their line-up--don't get me wrong, I like Paradigm--but I think the Rti6 is a better speaker than the mini-monitor. Now if you were talking the Studio 20, thats a different story...Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

I like the P-Digm Monitor 5 ALOT--dual woofers for me, just makes for cleaner bass most of the time.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

Now that's most intresting I was looking and got a quote on that same model
dual drivers caught my attention same reason i really like the rti8 the thing is the monitor 5 are like 600 buck rti'8 were for 598 only difference is the shipping cost on the 8's but i find the monitor 5's tempting to say the least i have not heard much about them but i dont think i can afford those and the rti'6 right now the nad c325bee will be able to power the rti'6 ok would it be able to power the 5's??? or would ineed to upgrade looks like my budget is heading 1500+ lolChicomorales:) -
Have you heard the monitor 3's steve was wondering how those sound or has anyone heard those speakers? is their contruction and finish nicer than the rti6??? oh and how would the polks or paradigm match with a hk receiver say the 3480 can anyone help me with thisChicomorales:)
