    you can find them on ebay for about 200 shipped. i dont know if that is within your price range.

    I got the 8's with tax plus ext. warranty for $500. I'm very happy w/that. My next problem is I'm married w/children. Mortgage,braces,wife that doesn't appreciate sound in movies or music, so another set of 8's is out. Plus, I need to upgrade my receiver to drive all of this. So, here I am, not broke, but money going in many different directions.

    in that case definitely go with the 4's and get a refurbished receiver if you are upgrading. you shouldnt have to spend more than 500 total i think to get a decent receiver for what you need like denon or onkyo and new speakers for about 200.
