Watched it last night. I loved it. 9/10. Even my wife really liked it. That suprised the hell out of me.

Great acting, great story, well used symbolism (even my dumbass could follow it), and even some hot audio gear to boot.

How can you compare the Departed and Babel? They're completely different genres. It's like saying "Braveheart" is better than "Dumb and Dumber".
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Babel was boring! Dumb and Dumber can be boring even though it is a different genre. Braveheart wasn't boring and neither was The Departed. That is how I compare them.

Unbelievable effin' movie!!! Watching that was like downing a bottle of trucker pills and chasing it with a case of Red Bull. I haven't been that much into a flick in a looooooooooooong time.

A week later, I was still mad about the ending. The wifey had to remind me that it was fiction.... I guess a good film does that.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Yep, non-stop and riveting. As usual Jack Nickelson does another bang up acting job.

I thought it was pretty good. Anyone catch the goodfellas reference in the begining. They are playing the stones, with the camera movement following them into the store, then if you look in the background through the store window you can see a caddy drive by then you hear some breaks screech. (it's when he had to lock the breaks coming to the intersection because he thought a helicopter was following him).

question, we just watched this again tonight and at the end we were left befuddled. i could...WE could have sworn last time we saw it, farmiga's character, the hottie shrink, i thought she told damon's character that her baby was dicaprio's baby. sorry for not using the character names in the movie.

anyway, i thought she told damon to his face it wasn't his or when she walked away at costigan's funeral and then damon asked, "what about the baby", that as she walked away she mumbled, "it's not yours" or something to that effect. none of these things happened watching this tonight.

am i crazy? is there a different version or ending or extras or different deleted scenes between dvd, hd dvd and bluray? tonight was the hddvd version...
