    John, you can rip that old veneer off the top and replace it with some new oak PSA veneer. It's peel and stick, very easy to work with.

    Well, I've had these babies for over a month now and I almost couldn't be happier, even with the original style tweeters. Terrible room acousitcs aside they sound excellent. Just wish I had more/larger woofers--hit 'em with the Atlantic City Convention Hall organ and they move enough to be worrysome at highish volume. Uh oh, I guess I need to find a pair of $40 SDA's now. :)
