They had the same offer at the beggining of July, I ordered a set, they cancelled my order.

Last summer I tried ordering a Mirage S12 sub for $399 ($800 sub). Same thing, they cancelled my order.

Does Tweeter ever deliver these incredible deals?

    Not very often.

They do this all the time. About the only time you're guaranteed a deal is if you buy it IN the store.

I HATE shopping there because of this practice.

plus its showing 160 a pair now... you can get the monitor 30s when they aren't on sale for $200/pair. I know, the t20s look better but they still are the same speaker.

Noticed that this morning, and yesterday it listed regular price as $129? Now it says regular $259? Maybe the $80 price was supposed to be EACH. That would explain why they cancelled my order AGAIN.

i'm calling Tweeter. You shouldn't be able to play around with the prices like that, cancel orders, and change the MSRP's.

I bought these at Tweeter for 129.I would like to hear some feedback and see what everyone thinks of this speaker. I like it. I think they might be too small for my huge living room. Maybe a Monitor 60 or Monitor 70 upgrade will happen in the future.

I don't know if this is against the law, but I believe when the retailer put a price on an item, even if it's the wrong price, they have to honor it. The premise being that the price was an "offer", and if the customer agree to that price, then you've accepted the retailer's "offer". I once scored a brand-new pair of Celestion Model 3s at 50% off because the price listed "pair" instead of "each".

This thread reminds me of when a couple of months ago the Rocky DVD anthology was listed on Target.com for 9 dollars or something. Everyone jumped, and then Target reneged. I remember reading in their terms that they had the right to do, and the consumer agreed to this arrangement when making a purchase.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore
