Greetings!
I now have rt2000p mains, cs400 center and three rt35i's for surround (l&r sides and center rear). I want to add two more speakers for 5.1 music in the rear corners which I will switch to for music only. Would RT6i"s be a good match? They have the same size midrange but the tweeters are different material.

Thanks in advance for all comments. I am open to other suggestions.

Regards
Emmett

If you trace the lineage. The RT-35i's became the RT-38's.Which were replaced by the RT-6's.That is why they have the same driver complement.

You already have what you need, what more are you looking for?
you have front R/L, center, and surrounds.
The RT2000's have a built in sub.

What more are you trying to accomplish?

What you have should do well for 5.1 music.
If you are trying to get good movie 5.1 then add di-pole/bi-pole speakers to the sides like the FX500's

    Thanks for the replies.

What I am trying to accomplish is the best of two worlds. 6.1 for movies with the rt35i's on the side and on in the rear. For music, DVD audio and SACD 5.1 I want the speakers against the rear wall towards the corner. With my receiver I can switch them over depending on my source material.

I am happy with the direct sound I get now from the sides but have never used di-pole/bi-poles for comparison.
